Changes I like to see in Indian Education System

Education reforms I like to see happen in India:

I thought about how certain changes in our education system can change our country future in a big way. Current education system does not use the technologies out there in this 21st century.
I want every teacher in our country to do something similar to my view which will impact our future. The following 4 ideas will have great impact in every kid’s personality. This might one day allow us to have a lots of true politicians, lawyers, doctors, engineers and others.

1) Promote reading books, news paper and journals which have less impact on there final grade. Our education system revolves too much around scoring good marks and less about dealing with real life situations. We want the students to understand and think about solving problems. Think about it if we ask students to understand global warming issue. I guarantee they will come up with innovative plans.
2) Teach them to do social service. For instance ask the college student to go to his school to educate the students about various career choices available. Ask a 10th standard student to go to nearest post office with a board saying “Free help to read, write letters”. We want the kids to enjoy the pleasure and happiness of GIVING.
3) Promote kids thinking and create a forum to hear there thoughts. Encourage kids to write there thoughts.
4) Let us not scare the kids to study by making them think about material things rather let’s teach them the importance of it. For example tell them how learning math would help to solve traffic congestion. Tell them how understanding science would help them to solve poverty.

All these ideas can be implemented by the parents as well. I want every parent who reads this to think about these ideas and speak to there kids schools to make a change for a brighter future. If kids understand the impact they can provide to this planet who can stop them....

If you agree or disagree with me but don’t hesitate to speak what’s on your mind.

Foreign Workers

I think it is sad to know USA is adding more restrictions for H1B visas for the last couple of years. I think politicians underestimate the work done by H1B visa holders. I don't think American people know what each of those H1B visa holder sacrifice to work in USA. How about telling the American people if you get a green card you might have to live away from your wife for more than 5 yrs. These politicians don't have guts to do what is right rather just want to pour oil on the wound. They never spent a minute when economy was going great about paying less money to foreign workers but as soon as they felt there vote bank is in trouble they are marching to save people at the expense of foreign workers.
Do they really know foreign workers also pay taxes and those TARP money also includes there money. How they can restrict banks who took TARP money from hiring
H1B workers??? where is the fairness here??? Why do you need to blame the foreign workers for the problems created by greedy loan officers? How many loan officers were arrested for document fraud? How many CEO were arrested for taking 90% risk on there business???

I think it is time for American people to know the contribution of foreign workers and actually show the anger towards the people who deserve it.

Slumdog Millionaire Success

I was waiting to write about Slumdog Millionaire and what it did for India. One of the reason I was waiting to write my view until Oscars awards over was I don't want to jinx its award parade. Let me address some of the criticism in India about the movie degrading about India etc... First of all it is true we have people who live in those areas probably we have to take this as a good thing and work towards solving there problems. Moreover this movie gives those people hope that things can change as long as you did the right thing in your life. I am glad they took kids from the slum to act in the movie who are giving hope for everyone who are going through rough time no matter were they are living.
It is a great honour to hear one of the other India language Tamil to be heard while the world eyes were on us.I am very happy for both A.R.Rahman and Resul Pookutty. It is proud moment for every indian. Everyone of us should help someone living in slum to reach fullest potential.

Jai HO!!!

Sathyam forgot “Sathyam”

It is unfortunate to know Sathyam Software former CEO Ramalinga Raju forgot the meaning of its own company. I hope the CEO decided to speak truth as his New Year Resolution and it took him 7 days to start his 1st step towards it.

I feel sad for the employees and its shareholders. I think greed is the worst enemy for any corporation and I don’t know whether it is jealous as the competition heights up or it is the Can Do attitude of the CEO started this fire. I want people to think what would have made a person who co-founded the company to do such a crime? Is it greed or jealous or simple walk into the fire without knowing where he was going!!!

I think we should get to the bottom of this issue before deciding what we should do to avoid these types of scams in future. I just hope everyone show courage and trust in our system and wait for the justice. I think every human have greed, jealous etc but a person stands out only if he knows how to keep a check on those ugly character wins out.

I hope Indians stick out for our country by believing in our system. Everyone says this is India’s Enron but they forgot our Enron came to light from the CEO whereas Enron CEOs took 5th amendment and never wanted to say what they did.

I hope we learn from this mistake and grow stronger. It is pity to know the company which won awards for corporate governance forgot to understand the true meaning of it.

Meet you guys tomorrow with my take on the hottest news !!!.

Current problem in middle east

First of all I want to wish everyone a Happy New Year 2009.

I was thinking about what's going on Gaza strip and How to approach this issue.I want to say I am not pro-Israel or pro-Palestine rather I am pro human beings. I think Israel should use its army to do good things for Palestine. Think about it instead of bombing them leaving the fact who start it and who is correct or wrong. Israel should build roads, schools, universities and factories in the Palestine land. Use the army to protect the people who will allow them to do all these good things.

I bet when the people who suffer see the unfiltered kindness from its enemy the history will vanish. We have seen this time after time.

I just want everyone to think about what they can do help to reduce the fuel for more violence. Israel can bomb all they want but terrorism doesn't fades unless the people are provided with another option to live a meaningful life.

I know it is not Israel's responsibility to take care of Palestine people but it is on there own interest they have do it. Just like the great King Ashoka said they have to see everyone as there own children.

I hope peace wins at the end.
